I’m sure by now, most everyone has seen this but I figured it was worth sharing. Ok Go does it again, with another unbelievable video!
First it was their treadmill choreography that put these fine lads on the map, then it was their music video for “This Too Shall Pass”, which featured what appeared to be a life-sized version of the children’s game Mouse Trap, whose mechanics were set to synchronize in perfect rhythm with the song. *You can thank the folks from Zigglebaum + Coehlo for dreaming up that one! I also can’t ignore their fabulous HTML5 video in conjunction with Google and oh ya, that Muppets video too!
Now they are playing 1,000 instruments in a Chevy Sonic. Apparently this took 4 months of pre-production and 4 full days of shooting! Somehow, I have to believe that was all worth it.
Well done again, and I along with millions of others can’t wait to see what they dream up next. Ok Go’s ability to pair music with various other forms of art (visual, installation, tech, dance, etc…) is truly commendable and I’m sure it hasn’t hurt record sales!
