Since Stephanie and I decided to get rid of cable and go with a Roku box instead, I’ve noticed a few clear benefits:
While I have yet to remove TV completely from my life, I feel less guilt as I get sucked into a TED Channel marathon “sesh”, as opposed to “Flavor of Love” or some other reality TV rubbish.
During a TED Channel marathon this weekend, I came across this presentation by Shawn Achor on, “The Happiness Advantage”. Needless to say, it really resonated with me on a few different levels (hence the blog post).
If you’ve got 12 minutes to spare, I’d really suggest giving it a gander. It moves really quickly, he’s very funny and there are even a few references to baby unicorns in there!
